DIY GLOW IN THE DARK ICE CUBES!

1-Why is  this experience or invention useful ? What is its usefulness?

This experience is useful for decorate your glasses with ice cubes in a party.

2-What are the materials or products used?

-       Shweppes or another drink with quinine

-       Black UV lamp(you can find it in a decoration market)

3- What do you have to do to achieve the experience? Can you describe precisely the different steps to achieve the experience or the invention?

a)    Pour Shweppes into the ice cubes trays.

b)    Put the ice cubes trays into the freezer.

c)    Wait a couple hours.

d)    Get out the ice cubes of the freezer.

e)    Remove the ice cubes to the ice cubes trays and put it in the glasses

f)     Take the black UV lamp and hold it above the glasses.

It’s magical! The ice cubes are blue! You can use food coloring for another color.

4- What are the various difficulties met to achieve the experiment?

The difficulty is to found a black UV lamp in a market and the time spent may be a disadvantage. (wait some hours for the ice cubes)

5- In which fields can we use this experiment? (Industry, medical field, sports field, environment, everyday life…).

We can use this experiment for party and it’s cool when you are in family. It’s useful to impress your family.
